I’m sure that many of us do, but like any relationship it takes good communication as well as understanding in order for it to be a fruitful one. Credit cards can be a great tool if used responsibly and with some caution. The question is what determines a person’s relationship with money? Is it their personality, is it their upbringing, or is it their past experiences? In all honesty it could be one or all of these factors. In this post I’m going to try to delve into what affects a persons decisions about money.

Managing Your Money Properly

Man Petting Piggy BankMost individuals get up from sleep to prepare for a day or night at the office or possibly out in the field. The main reason for this activity is to essentially earn money in order to survive. As we all know without money we cannot acquire the many different necessities that we need to live such as food, water, and shelter. That is a pretty simple list and on a very basic level that is all most people really need. Our society has grown far above very basic needs though and we have to pay for things such as college education, health care, and of course the electric bill. How else are we going have lights to see by or catch the latest episode of our favorite show. Candles are just not going to cut it in the 21st century. We also have other places that our money is destined for such as more bills, travel, hobbies, transportation, savings and sometimes unfortunately those impulse purchases that help to drain our checking accounts. The main reason for stating all of this is that in order to keep track of all these expenditures good money management is a skill that any person who has to deal with their personal finances should have.
